Multidisciplinary PhD Program in International Studies
The School of International Studies at the University of Trento* is accepting applications for the places in the doctoral program in International Studies for the 2010-2011 academic year. The doctorate combines multidisciplinary approaches within a structure that allows students to specialize in one of three tracks: International Politics, International Law and International Economics. It is entirely in English, with a taught component in the first year.
Application requirements
Candidates are asked to include in the application a short summary (max 5 pages - 2500 words) of their proposed research. While all projects related to the main areas covered in the School of International Studies are welcome, candidates with interests in the following areas are particularly welcome: European Union Law, European Political, Economic and Monetary Integration, EU Public Policy, Multi-level Governance, Transatlantic Relations, Transnational Crime, Comparative Legal Studies, International Criminal Justice, Peacebuilding, Post-1945 International and European History and International Trade and Economic Development.
Scholarship Awarded
The School offers a number of full scholarships renewable for three years and does not charge tuition fees. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and will be augmented by 50% for authorized research periods spent abroad.
