Germany: ESMT MBA Scholarships - European School of Management and Technology

Overview

Supported by its 25 corporate founders ESMT is able to offer substantial scholarships to support students. ESMT is offering a number of merit-based scholarships for applicants to the the Full-time MBA program commencing January 2011 and the Executive MBA program beginning October 2010.

Scholarships will be allocated on the basis of intellectual excellence, evidence of personal and professional achievement and evidence of strong leadership potential as well as superior interpersonal skills.

The scholarships are restricted to self-funded candidates and will be accounted for against the applicant’s program fees. Applicants must meet ESMT’s general admission requirements.

ESMT would like to highlight the following scholarship opportunities:

Global Women’s Scholarship ESMT offers special full-tuition scholarship to female candidates for the Executive MBA program 2010-2012 and the Full-time MBA program 2011 who demonstrate outstanding professional and academic merit.

Program: Executive MBA and Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: one for Executive MBA, two for Full-Time MBA

Value: up to € 25,000 (Executive MBA), full tuition (Full-time MBA)

Eligibility: Female candidates who have been accepted either to the ESMT Full-time MBA and who fully rely on self-funding. Candidates must demonstrate financial need.

Requirements: The scholarship will be granted to those female candidates who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential, as displayed in essays submitted in the completed online application and supporting documents, as well as a strong performance in the admission interview


ESMT Americas Scholarship ESMT awards one prestigious scholarship to an outstanding male or female candidate applying to either program from a Latin or North American country.

Program:Executive MBA and Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: one for each program

Value: up to € 25,000 (Executive MBA); € 25,000 (Full-time MBA)

Eligibility:

Candidates with permanent residence in any South, Central or North American country
Candidates are expected to prove their strong intention to promote business development and pursue professional options in Latin and/or North America

Requirements: Candidates are required to submit a scholarship essay along with their complete application to the Full-time MBA program. Candidates will be expected to actively promote the school in the respective regions throughout and after their studies, e.g. by participating in the ESMT mentoring program.

ESMT Central and Eastern Europe Scholarship ESMT awards one prestigious scholarship to an outstanding male or female candidate applying from a Central or Eastern Europe country.
Program:Executive MBA and Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: one for each program

Value: up to € 25,000 (Executive MBA); € 25,000 (Full-time MBA)

Eligibility:

- Candidates with permanent residence in a Central or Eastern European country: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria

- Candidates are expected to prove their strong intention to promote business development and pursue professional options in Central and Eastern Europe within a reasonable timeframe after completion of the program.

Requirements:

Candidates are required to submit a scholarship essay along with their complete application to the ESMT Full-time MBA program. Candidates will be expected to actively promote the school in the respective regions throughout and after their studies, e.g. by participating in the ESMT mentoring program.


ESMT Africa Scholarship ESMT awards one prestigious scholarship to an outstanding male or female candidate applying to either program from an African country.

Program:Executive MBA and Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: one for each program

Value: up to € 25,000 (Executive MBA); € 25,000 (Full-time MBA)

Eligibility:

- Candidates with permanent residence in any African country
- Candidates are expected to prove their strong intention to promote business development and pursue professional options in Africa within a reasonable timeframe after completion of the program.

Requirements:

Candidates are required to submit a scholarship essay along with their complete application to the ESMT Full-time MBA program. Candidates will be expected to actively promote the school in the respective regions throughout and after their studies, e.g. by participating in the ESMT mentoring program

ESMT Middle East and Central Asia Scholarship ESMT awards one prestigious scholarship to an outstanding male or female candidate applying to either program from a Middle Eastern or Central Asian country.

Program: Executive MBA and Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: one for each program

Value: up to € 25,000 (Executive MBA); € 25,000 (Full-time MBA)

Eligibility: Candidates with permanent residence in Lebanon, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar

Requirements:
Candidates are required to submit a scholarship essay along with their complete application to the ESMT Full-time MBA program. Candidates will be expected to actively promote the school in the respective regions throughout and after their studies, e.g. by participating in the ESMT mentoring program.

ESMT Asia Scholarship
ESMT awards one prestigious scholarship to an outstanding male or female candidate applying to either program from an Asian country.

Program: Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: two

Value: € 25,000

Eligibility: Candidates with permanent residence in a South or East Asian / Australasian country

Requirements:
Candidates are required to submit a scholarship essay along with their complete application to the ESMT Full-time MBA program. Candidates will be expected to actively promote the school in the respective regions throughout and after their studies, e.g. by participating in the ESMT mentoring program.

ESMT Academic Excellence Scholarship
ESMT offers special-tuition scholarship to male and female candidates applying to the ESMT Full-time MBA program with an exceptionally strong GMAT score and a record of academic excellence at undergraduate level.

Program: Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: two

Value: € 25,000

Eligibility: All candidates with a GMAT score of 700+ are eligible to apply

Criteria: Candidates are to provide proof of a valid GMAT score (not older than five years) and a short essay (max. 300 words) stating why they qualify for this scholarship.

QS ESMT Diversity Scholarships Program: Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: two

Value: € 25,000

Eligibility

Attendance at least one QS MBA Tour event in 2009 or 2010
Candidates possessing more than 3 years of work experience at the time of program start, GMAT score beyond 650

Candidates must demonstrate a clear interest in responsible leadership and sustainable development and technology.

Candidates are to submit an essay on the topic "Describe one event from your professional life where you challenged mainstream thought in a group setting, and describe the outcome, positive or negative" (max. 300 words) along with their complete application to the Full-time MBA program.

The Peter and Alice von Loesecke Scholarship Foundation MBA Scholarships Program: Full-time MBA

Number of scholarships available: two

Value: US $20,000 / approx € 15,000

Eligibility:

- Award criteria are socially motivated to include:
- A desire to return to a home country to grow a family business and create employment
- A desire to create a socially responsible entrepreneurial venture (e.g. micro lending, basic health care delivery in poverty stricken rural areas)
- A desire to work for an international lending organization providing loans for projects in developing countries
- A former volunteer or employee of a public service organization (e.g. veteran of the armed forces, peace corps volunteer, or an NGO)

To Apply / Eligibility:

Applicants are eligible if they attended one of the MBA Tour events after August 2008 and have been accepted to a university they MET at the event.

The Foundation will receive nominations from eligible MBA programs no later than by April 16, 2010. Applications are handled directly by The MBA Tour.
